Area Home Sales Rise Again.
According to "The Courier Journal" home sales in the Louisville Kentucky metro market are up again this month. Realtors sold 1160 homes in Louisville and 257 homes in Southern Indiana for September. September 2008 figures shhow Louisville homes sales at 1012 and Southern Indiana at 222 homes.
The First Time Home Buyer Tax credit had a definite affect on the market.
The median sales price of a home sold in the Louisville market September 2009 was $132,000.00 up from September 2008 where the median price was $131,000.00.
Sales in this market have been gaining since July 2009 when homes sales broke a two year decline in home sales in the Louiaville Metro market.
